Who Made God? A Response From The Author

I recently discovered this Book, Who Made God? and the author Professor Andrews, and just received an unexpected and pleasant response from Professor Andrews as follows:

(His web site is Who Made God?)

Many thanks Don … I enjoyed reading some of your essays and the responses! I admire your courage in standing up to the ‘bully boys’ who, at the end of the day almost never address the arguments but simply dismiss them with a superior wave of the hand. The amazon.com and amazon.co.uk ‘readers reviews’ (total 72 making a reasonable sample statistically) of “Who made God? Searching for a theory of everything” make interesting reading. I refer specially to the reviews by atheists which never even begin to address the arguments in the book but adopt the easy way out of ridicule or dismissive hand-waving. I think this says a great deal about “the massive amount of internet evidence against creationism” (I paraphrase) to which one of your critics appeals.

So keep up the good work!

Every blessing

Edgar Andrews

The following is the e-mail I sent to Professor Andrews which prompted his response:

Hello Professor Andrews,

I’ve recently discovered your web site Who Made God? Enjoy it very much and find it to be informative.

Let me introduce you to some of my thinking and writings along the same lines.

Mind you, I am not a scientist and have no advanced degrees. But I have had a long career as a software developer, and have a keen, experience based, sense of complicated things and the idea of finely tuned systems. So here are some of my thoughts, in reverse chronological order:

Don Johnson

I was interested in his remarks about the Amazon.com reviewers, and found some quite interesting dialog between Professor Andrews and various reviewers; he engages them thoughtfully as he did my note to him, and I appreciate that in him.

And, I’ve ordered his book Who Made God? and am looking forward to getting it.

Don – a single reply like this like a single person asks to me to pray with them after I talk makes it all worth it.
