Whew … this is hard work!
Diana and I have spent the past four days volunteering at the Bridgeport CT Rescue Mission where we helped pack turkeys and all the trimmings for a fine Thanksgiving meal for many thousands in the Bridgeport area, and boy-oh-boy are we pooped out. And oh yea I forgot, many thousands of warm winter coats passed out as well for all family members in need.
The Bridgeport Rescue mission is open 24/7 365 days a year providing hope, shelter, meals and addiction recovery for a community stuck in poverty; last year the mission provided some 625,000 meals throughout the community.
But as I said before, we’re pooped!
Therefore next year we’re going to find one of the many atheist rescue missions in the area and give them a hand.
What! … What’s that you say? There aren’t any atheist rescue missions! How can that be?
Guess we’ll just have to work our buts off at the same old Christian rescue mission again next year.
You might try doing the same.
